    I cannot get this product to work on my home network. I am using a new computer with Windows 7 and a Cradlepoint router using my AT&T Mercury USB. I can connect to the internet and then when I switch web sites I get dropped and I cannot display any web page without resetting the power to my router. I am very disappointed there is no telephone support. I did contact technical support by email and they gave me an answer that did not help. I am flustrated and I am just going to trash this software and try a free trial of another product before purchasing. I have two laptops on my network and cannot just reset power to the router everytime I change web sites.

    Bitdefender slows my computer very, very badly. After 2 weeks of using Bitdefender, I had to uninstall it and buy another anti-virus. Bit defender is a waste of money. I want a refund !!!

    I run Windows XP and replaced AGV with BitDefender because of the higher “Top 10″ review I found online; what a disaster.

    A few days after installing the software, I went to duplicate a DVD. When I tried to open NTI DVD Maker 7, it did nothing. I contacted their tech support and we did a weeks worth of gyrations trying to get it loaded and working. The weekend came and I tried a few things only to realize that all of my NTI software, Backup 4 and Drive Backup also didn’t work and couldn’t be reloaded successfully. Well I got to thinking the only difference between my computer when they worked and now was changing AVG to BitDefender so I uninsulated BD and put AVG back and all my programs work again. BitDefender is obviously hostile towards some other programs.

    Also as I was forewarned reading the negative recommendations; BD does slow you computer down substantially. At times so bad that I could go make a sandwich while waiting for another Explorer window to open.

    Proceed at your own risk; da ain’t lyin when they say there’s problems.

    This is the worst antivirus program I’ve ever tried to install in my computer. First of all it wanted to be the only antivirus program and it removed my AVG, McAfee, and a couple of adware programs that I had. Then it would get part way through the install and lock up. I never did get it to finish the installation. The last time that I tried to install it, it said that it had already been installed on 3 PCs and couldn’t be installed in another one. I never got it to install in one computer muchless 3 of them like it was supposed to!

    All it did was cause me a lot of frustration, strip all the protection that I did have out of my laptop and leave me with nothing for virus protection.

    Sometimes, Bitdefender disapears from my task bar and needs to be reinstalled. What I like is BD is unobtrusive when it is working well. Bitdefender catches viruses that Norton fails to see.
