Stop Using Microsoft Internet Explorer

Stop Using Microsoft Internet Explorer

If you are a user of Microsoft Windows then its most likely you are also a user of Internet Explorer, also developed by Microsoft. A recent announcement from Microsoft informs users that a new exploit has been discovered for their browser, bad news for us.

The announcement has been made under Microsoft Security Advisory (961051) which has been updated yesterday and as of yet no fix has been found for the exploit.

Reading over the Microsoft advisory I see MS have made some recommendations with a link to their protected page. So now it’s up to us users to follow their guide, reconfigure settings and waste time trying to stop this exploit from affecting us.

A number of my clients have already contacted me regarding the news and expressed their concern that their business workstations could be at risk and well they are. Ensuring security on your computer should be a top priority especially when it comes to exploits like this.

Unfortunately many of my clients don’t have the time to sit and study these recommendations from Microsoft or do they have know how so they are left with two options,  pay me to perform configurations on every desktop or use another browser.

Instead of me profiting from this exploit I am simply telling all my clients to stop using Internet Explorer and to download another free browser such as FireFox which is known to be a lot safer than IE.

If you are using Internet Explorer to read this I advise that you stop using it, download FireFox, make sure your anti-virus is update and run scans on your hard drive.
