How Safe Is Your Server Hardware Infrastructure?

As we know most businesses will centrally store their data on servers either located within in their office or within a secure hosting environment. However, many do not know the importance of maintaining their hardware infrastructure and we know only to well what the outcome usually is.

The following video of a hardware infrastructure for a hospital highlights our concerns on the lack of maintenance being performed but what’s even more shocking is this infrastructure is mission critical.
This video comes with a description that the systems within this rack are running critical heart & lung and A&E systems at a hospital data center. Watch near the end when the camera man follows where the rack is being powered from.

Data Center Video

Unfortunately we don’t know where this hospital data centre is located or have any additional background information but what we do know is that someone needs to be held accountable for such a shambles.

This should be a cause for concern for any business that has a hardware infrastructure, even if their servers are housed in hosting environment as not all data centers are up to professional standards.
