    We have never had anything get past Trend to harm our machines. Easy to install, and update. We use it for all 6 machines we run in our family. 3 on Trend Pro and 3 on Trend IS. We have used Trend products for years and the only problem I ever encountered was a conflict with another security program that came installed on a new machine. Once I uninstalled the other program, Trend worked perfectly. Highly recommend!

    Needed to get new anti-virus software. Already had Trend Micro so went shopping. Local bigbox store had it but pricy. Company web site had it but pricy. Last minute I checked AMZ -sure glad I did. Pkg arrive quick, installed just fine. Great buying experience.

    Well, my story will be a generalization of other negative reviews.

    This program may be good, I don’t deny it but it takes possession of the computer’s RAM and kills the processor’s ability to do its work. The computer slows down to a halt. I tried to simplify it by adjusting the settings and removing unnecesary features, finally I tried to block it from starting when the computer boots up. Nothing helped. It will start running in the background and all activities freeze. ANd this is on a Windows XP, I imagine a Windows Vista will probably be in a worse situation. This sucker really killed my patience. Whenever I went online to access the Internet it took forever before a page downloaded. This is not how my comp woked when I had Norton. With Norton (2008) I could get some good use if adjusted correctly and was not that annoying. By the way the 2010 Norton Security is as bad as 2010 Trend Micro.

    Putting the Trend Micro on administrative leave brought my computer’s functionality back to normal.

    In all, Trend Micro is no longer the program I used to like. Neither is the 2010 Norton. Tested both, both suck. My comp is better off without antivirus. At least I can use it and now is fast.

    As some other people have warned – this product completely stops working the minute your subscription is up! You can’t even access the program, when you try it just says to renew now or enter a new serial number. It does not protect you at all even though the virus definitions are good because they were updated 12 hours ago!!!!

    This is a LEASE not a PURCHASE.

    Before expiration the product is decent. It is functional and does not get in your way, but I am completely disgusted with this change in the policy of this company. I have used Trend Micro for years on the computers I own and the computers I have repaired for family and friends. I will not do so any longer, I am switching to AVG.

    Great price on Amazon.Com for the Trend Micro Internet Security 2010. Most other stores charge full price as well as online from Trend Miro. I have been using Trend Micro for years on all three of my family’s computers with no problems to report. This is an excellent buy
