This is a really good program. I haven’t had any problems. It is very user friendly and definately does a great job of removing threats.
I have been using webroot for 4 years now and this company has done a good job of protecting my computer from spyware and viruses.
I’m totally pleased with this internet security software. It’s easy to set up and has extra features that are great, such as Cleanup and Sweep. You don’t even know it’s there unless it finds a virus or a trojan horse. I will definitely renew when it’s time. Oh, great price too!
My favorite so far, let’s just hope it continues. I have tried many such as Kapersky, Symantic, Mcafee and so on. Webroot is really cool bc it catches cookies and virus attempts that others seem to allow to pass through. This is even when the firewall is set to allow all traffic. Not only is it much more aware, but its lighter on the system and it even backs up your computer’s data (up to 2 gigs free) that you can select manually, if you would like.
Finally an internet security platform that I may actually go over 2 years with.
I got this to replace my Norton Interntet Secuirty. I had no problems with Norton, but I wanted to try something different. I am not sure who Webroot Essentials is trying to appeal to? It does not have quite enough features for the advance user and requries more work than desirable for the novice user. It installs easily and didn’t hog my resources. I used it for a week and had no problems within that week. One of my main concerns is that it has no built in Parental Controls. Why would you need Parental Controls? If you can block those websites such as porn sites, gambling sites, pay to download sites to name a few, you can reduce your chances of getting a virus and spyware tremendously. Essentials has no Parental Controls so this was a real concern for me. In my opinion, Norton offers a better package. I am back with Norton and would recommend it over Webroot.
